PEMMCO Opens Second Plant In Asheboro
Asheboro-based PEMMCO Manufacturing has purchased the assets of Autocraft Technologies, which was located at 331 Rock Crusher Rd, Asheboro, NC 27203. This acquisition includes the 15,000SF building as well as Autocraft's machining assets and book of business. Acquiring Autocraft will allow PEMMCO to expand its machining capabilities in the automotive and aerospace sectors, among other opportunities. PEMMCO expects the acquisition to create five new jobs in Asheboro.

Klaussner Buildings on the Market
Schwarz Properties, based in Asheboro, has acquired two former Klaussner Furniture buildings, representing approximately 400,000 SF of industrial space on Highway 220 in Asheboro. The buildings' owners have expressed that they are already seeing interest in the space. Read More.

Lisa recently celebrated her 22nd anniversary at Randolph EDC. We are so thankful for all of her hard work. Lisa is always ready to help in any way and brightens our office with her smile and sense of humor.

Brantley Craft Moving On
After nearly two years with our EDC (the first as an intern and then fulltime for the past year) Brantley Craft has accepted an offer with the High Point EDC. Brantley has done a great job serving our existing industry and we hate to see him leave, but we wish him well in his new role. His last day with us was May 23. We'll backfill the Existing Industry Director position and will be posting a job ad soon.
